La referente de Infecciones Respiratorias Agudas -IRA- del departamento, Norma Acosta, la define como \u201cun plan de atenci\u00f3n primario en salud, que permite atender de manera oportuna los casos de enfermedades respiratorias agudas en aquellos pacientes que se considera que no requieren una estancia mayor de 4 a 6 horas en instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud o de una sala de observaci\u00f3n en urgencias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La funcionaria a\u00f1ade que \u201cen esta sala se realiza un tratamiento terap\u00e9utico a los ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as que lo requieran, adem\u00e1s se brindan capacitaciones a los cuidadores o familiares del menor sobre factores de riesgo respiratorio, manejo de inhaladores, aseo nasal y signos de alarma\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, la Estrategia en Salud de Sala ERA tiene como prop\u00f3sito prevenir la mortalidad por enfermedad respiratoria, dando un manejo de los casos de manera temprana y adecuada, realizando un seguimiento y acompa\u00f1amiento al paciente a\u00fan despu\u00e9s de su primera atenci\u00f3n en centro de salud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las salas ERA son \u00e1reas ubicadas en un servicio hospitalario de urgencias o de consulta externa, por ello ante cualquier caso respiratorio que se presente el paciente debe ser llevado al hospital m\u00e1s cercano para ser atendido.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Las ERA son Enfermedades Respiratorias Agudas las cuales constituyen un conjunto de enfermedades que afectan el sistema respiratorio.
