Luego de varios a\u00f1os de espera, la Corporaci\u00f3n Aut\u00f3noma Regional del Tolima, Cortolima, formaliz\u00f3 el inicio de una obra estrat\u00e9gica de saneamiento b\u00e1sico en el municipio de Ortega: la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales (PTAR) de la vereda Mesa de Ortega, un proyecto clave para la protecci\u00f3n de las fuentes h\u00eddricas y el bienestar de la comunidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El proyecto, que tiene una inversi\u00f3n de $2.196 millones -de los cuales $1.500 millones son aportados por la corporaci\u00f3n y el restante por la Alcald\u00eda de Ortega-, busca reducir la contaminaci\u00f3n generada por vertimiento de aguas residuales dom\u00e9sticas en la quebrada Nuquil y el r\u00edo Ortega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con la construcci\u00f3n del alcantarillado y la PTAR, cuyos dise\u00f1os est\u00e1n proyectados a 25 a\u00f1os, tambi\u00e9n se espera mejorar la calidad de vida de familias campesinas e ind\u00edgenas de la ribera de la quebrada Nuquil y de las zonas ubicadas aguas abajo del r\u00edo Ortega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La directora general de la corporaci\u00f3n, Olga Luc\u00eda Alfonso Iannini, inform\u00f3 que con este proyecto se promueve la conservaci\u00f3n y preservaci\u00f3n de las diferentes microcuencas que vierten al r\u00edo Ortega, al tiempo que se mitiga la generaci\u00f3n de enfermedades respiratorias y gastrointestinales en la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEsperamos tener la PTAR lista en seis meses y volver ac\u00e1 para entregarle a la Alcald\u00eda esta infraestructura que va a sanear la ronda h\u00eddrica de la quebrada Nuquil y va a mejorar la condici\u00f3n de vida de los habitantes\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 la funcionaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El proyecto contempla la instalaci\u00f3n y construcci\u00f3n de 2.746 metros de tuber\u00eda, 38 pozos, 660 metros de redes domiciliarias y 110 acometidas. Por su parte, la PTAR contar\u00e1 con dos trampas de grasas con capacidad de 250 litros cada una y dos sistemas integrados de tanques s\u00e9pticos y filtros anaer\u00f3bicos, cada uno con capacidad de 50.000 litros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como parte de su agenda dominical en Ortega, la directora de la autoridad ambiental tambi\u00e9n se reuni\u00f3 con miembros de la comunidad ind\u00edgena Cucharo San Antonio y verific\u00f3 el avance de obra del reservorio de aguas lluvias que se construye en este sector rural del municipio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con este proyecto, que cuenta con una inversi\u00f3n de $187 millones, la corporaci\u00f3n busca asegurar el abastecimiento y aprovechamiento del l\u00edquido para uso dom\u00e9stico, riego de cultivos y atenci\u00f3n de animales, en respuesta al aumento de las temperaturas en esta regi\u00f3n del Tolima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La construcci\u00f3n registra un avance del 15% y actualmente ya se han adelantado labores de excavaci\u00f3n y compactaci\u00f3n de material granular, entre otras actividades.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
