En la Cumbre Internacional de Sostenibilidad e Innovaci\u00f3n Ambiental 2025, que se cumple en Bogot\u00e1, la Corporaci\u00f3n Aut\u00f3noma Regional del Tolima, Cortolima, present\u00f3 uno de sus proyectos de educaci\u00f3n ambiental m\u00e1s exitosos: \u2018Expedici\u00f3n Arco\u00edris\u2019, una iniciativa que promueve el cuidado del medio ambiente entre ni\u00f1os, ni\u00f1as y j\u00f3venes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ante investigadores, organizaciones, estudiantes y emprendedores, la corporaci\u00f3n explic\u00f3 c\u00f3mo 950 menores de ocho municipios del Tolima, en un ejercicio de apropiaci\u00f3n social del conocimiento ambiental, tomaron conciencia sobre la importancia de preservar el complejo de p\u00e1ramo Los Nevados, un ecosistema declarado como sujeto especial de derechos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A trav\u00e9s de talleres de formaci\u00f3n y reconocimientos de campo, estudiantes de Anzo\u00e1tegui, Murillo, Villahermosa, Herveo, Ibagu\u00e9, Santa Isabel, Casabianca y Cajamarca se han convertido en defensores de la biodiversidad y agentes del cambio ambiental, explic\u00f3 Juan Fernando Guti\u00e9rrez, bi\u00f3logo de la Subdirecci\u00f3n de Desarrollo Ambiental Sostenible de Cortolima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEste proyecto es un ejemplo inspirador y referente en Colombia de c\u00f3mo la educaci\u00f3n, la ciencia, la participaci\u00f3n y la acci\u00f3n se unen para abordar desaf\u00edos ambientales cruciales, al involucrar las instituciones educativas, fomentando el aprendizaje pr\u00e1ctico y capacitando a las nuevas generaciones en la apropiaci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n de la naturaleza\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Guti\u00e9rrez durante su presentaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En n\u00fameros, el proyecto permiti\u00f3 la conformaci\u00f3n de 38 grupos de expedicionarios en 32 instituciones educativas que fueron equipadas con 34 kits de avistamiento de aves y monitoreo de fauna, seis viveros, 13 estaciones meteorol\u00f3gicas y 21 aulas ambientales que incluyen elementos como video beam, computador port\u00e1til, tablero interactivo, GPS, c\u00e1mara trampa, c\u00e1mara fotogr\u00e1fica semiprofesional, equipo base para an\u00e1lisis de agua y suelo, estereoscopio y microscopio, entre otros elementos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo con Guillermo Vallejo, subdirector de Desarrollo Ambiental Sostenible, Cortolima es un referente nacional en materia de apropiaci\u00f3n social del conocimiento por iniciativas como Expedici\u00f3n Arco\u00edris que vinculan a la comunidad en los procesos de conservaci\u00f3n y cuidado de sus territorios<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEs un pilar fundamental para la educaci\u00f3n ambiental y el Estado colombiano.
